Children starting school at the age of 5 have three visits prior to starting school. These occur on three preceding Tuesday afternoons before the start of school date. This will enable both you and your child to meet the class teacher and become familiar with some of the routines and expectations of the school environment. They also start making friends with the other students. The dates of pre-entry visits are emailed to you in advance and an information pack is given to you at the first visit including information about stationery and uniform.
Visit One – Parents stay with your child, meet the classroom teacher and get to spend time in the classroom.
Visit Two – Your child will stay in the classroom with their peers and a teacher and do an activity. Parents will go with NE teacher Anna Hartley for an informal session to learn how we teach reading, writing and maths and answer any questions you might have.
Visit Three – Your child will stay in the classroom with their peers and a teacher and do an activity. Parents will go with the Principal, Alison Spence, to hear about our school culture and what it means to be a KTS parent and to answer any questions you might have.
Mid Term Cohort Entry Dates 2024
Term 1 - Monday 11 March
Term 2 - Tuesday 4 June
Term 3 - Monday 26 August
Term 4 - Monday 11 November
Please note that New Entrant children will finish school at 2.00pm for their first two weeks at school.
